Offered by Université du Luxembourg in Luxembourg, Luxembourg, Master in Psychology - Psychological Intervention is a master's degree in Psychology programme. The programme runs for 2 years, delivered on campus. It carries 120.0 credits (ECTS). Tuition for international students is EUR 400 per semester (EUR 400 per semester for local students).
Designed for graduates holding a Bachelor in psychology, this two-year full-time Master prepares students for applied practice and research in the field of psychological intervention; registering as a part-time student is also an option. Classes are given in German and English. Clinical psychology forms a central pillar, dealing with psychological disorders across the lifespan, from childhood to adulthood, together with clinical interviewing and methods of treatment. Health psychology is the second pillar, looking at how health can be promoted, which factors put it at risk, and how psychological and biological markers of health are measured. Media, cultural and school psychology add further perspectives. Modules span research methodology, psychological assessment, intervention approaches and applied psychology, and lab sessions give students hands-on research experience. A professional internship lasting roughly three months is required, and a research-based thesis completes the degree. The programme is accredited at national level and internationally by ACQUIN. Graduates go on to clinical, health or educational psychology roles, research posts, doctoral study or psychotherapy training.
