Université du Luxembourg offers Master in Space, Communication and Media Law, a master's degree in Public Relations programme in Luxembourg, Luxembourg. The programme runs for 2 years. It carries 120.0 credits (ECTS). Tuition for international students is EUR 400 per semester (EUR 400 per semester for local students).
This Master deals with the legal rules that apply to activities in outer space, to satellites and electronic networks, to the media and online commerce, and to intellectual property, personal data and cybersecurity policy, considered from the global, EU and domestic perspective. Students first complete the shared year in European law; the specialised year then treats regulation of the EU's digital single market, technology law as practised in Luxembourg, the international rules on space and telecoms, the basics of data privacy and IP, cyber policy and comparative approaches, and finishes with a thesis, with an internship available as an option. English is the main teaching language and French is also used. Students benefit from the work of the SES Chair and the TechLaw research group, keep track of rulings from the EU courts, and visit telecommunications sites and regulatory authorities. The country's ICT industry and its national space programme form the backdrop, and the programme works with businesses, law firms and regulators active in space, media, data and IP. Funding options include the Ferrero Fellowship.
