This short top-up master's builds on the university's own graduate diploma in financial crime compliance, extending it into a full master's qualification for professionals already working in the financial sector. It deepens knowledge of the compliance and regulatory landscape and of local and global efforts against financial crime, developing the anti-money-laundering, risk and compliance skills expected of compliance officers and money-laundering reporting officers.
Study covers governance, risk and compliance, financial-services law and a business project across three modules worth 15 credits, plus a 30-credit dissertation. Entry requires an undergraduate degree graded at least second-class second-division, and candidates must already hold a pass in the university's International Graduate Diploma in Financial Crime Compliance.
Study normally takes a minimum of 6 months and can extend up to 1 year for those progressing part time, with new students admitted in February and August. A scholarship recognising top-performing graduates is available through the university, alongside an instalment option for paying fees.
