BA/BS in Design Art Technology

ArtEZ's Design Art Technology programme sits between technology, art, and design, aimed at students who want to use technical tools either as an artistic medium or as the basis for applied design work. After a shared theoretical and practical grounding, students develop an individual profile as either an artist or a designer working within digital culture. Teaching is practice-based, built around joint projects run throughout the year, and delivered by practitioners drawn from the professional field who stay close to current developments in design, art, and technology. Students have access to software and hardware labs and other workshop spaces for experimentation and research, along with opportunities for study trips and placements abroad. Graduates are positioned to work in creative coding roles or to set up independent practice as artists working across disciplines, having learned to think critically about how a design choice can be used within a social context.
