Overview

Spanning two years and worth 120 ECTS, this research master's in Molecular Medicine focuses on the principles of genetics and of molecular and cellular biology as they relate to health and disease, combined with extensive research and a written thesis. Students learn experimental design and current technical approaches, including culturing cells and tissue, live-cell imaging, and genomic and proteomic technology, genetic modification and the generation of small animal models. The programme prepares graduates as candidates for PhD positions at Erasmus MC as well as other research institutions.
