BA/BS in European Studies

The programme is built on the premise that modern Europe and European integration cannot be understood from a single discipline, using examples such as the war in Ukraine and the challenges of climate change to show why economic, political or legal analysis alone is insufficient. Understanding how European states, the European Union, companies and citizens respond to such challenges requires analysing the historical developments and differing political and cultural backgrounds of the actors involved, so the programme combines insights and methods from sociology, philosophy, economics, law, international relations, history and political science.
