Introduction to Data Analytics in R

The course introduces the open-source statistical environment R and its RStudio interface over an intensive one-week schedule, with three contact hours scheduled daily and sessions split between lectures and tutorial discussion of assignments. Teaching covers three areas: basic objects and operations in R, working with data through management, analysis and visualisation, and control flow and programming within R. It is intended as a starting point for those with little or no prior coding experience who plan to pursue further study or independent work in data analytics, and the skills covered also transfer to other programming environments that use a similar syntax-based approach.
