MA/MS in Arts and Culture

The programme treats culture as something continually made and remade, covering both the products of artistic and intellectual creativity, such as literary texts and artworks, and the everyday practices through which people express their tastes and relate to one another. It also considers how people voice and dispute questions of ethics, aesthetics, and politics, and how cultural change connects to wider societal debates and global challenges such as climate change and growing social inequality. Three specialisations are offered: Arts and Heritage, which covers policy, management, and education; Contemporary Literature and Arts, focused on cultural interventions and social justice; and Modern Political Culture, examining ideas and discourses in context.
