Overview

The Evolutionary Biology Master's specialisation traces evolutionary change over time and studies the origin and persistence of biological variation across the tree of life, investigating the mechanisms behind how organisms and their traits adapt at every biological level. It spans genomics, functional developmental genetics, paleobiology, behavioural biology and evolutionary ecology, with a significant contribution from Naturalis to the programme, and prepares graduates for a PhD track or research roles at universities or research institutes.
