MA/MS in Chemistry: Research in Chemistry

This Research in Chemistry specialisation focuses on either Chemical Biology or Energy & Sustainability, building the skills and knowledge needed to work as an independent, creative scientist through a fundamentals-first approach to tailor-made solutions for problems in human health and the environment. The Chemical Biology strand studies fundamental biological and biomedical questions, working toward a molecular-level grasp of physiological processes and deeper knowledge of human health and illness, while the Energy & Sustainability strand centres on developing new sources of sustainable energy and ways to store it, including work on a new generation of catalysts for producing solar fuels. The Master of Science track provides thorough research training grounded in theory and is suited to students aiming toward a PhD in chemistry.
