This interdisciplinary programme draws on expertise from three universities, Leiden, Delft and Erasmus University Rotterdam, with courses taught at all three, training students to analyse migration and diversity from multiple angles including history, sociology, politics, international development and urbanism. It places the historical study of migration within a wider interdisciplinary context and prepares students to play a role in governing migration and diversity across different kinds of organisations, addressing questions such as the opportunities and challenges for migration governance, how societies have changed in terms of diversity, how newcomers are incorporated, and how discrimination can be prevented.
