This specialisation covers high-performance computing, embedded systems, and cloud and distributed computing. It examines the technologies driving the Internet of Things, including high-performance computers capable of processing large volumes of data simultaneously, cloud computing and large database systems built for data-analysis demands beyond conventional transaction processing, and embedded systems in which integrated sensors and processors make devices responsive to changes in their environment.
