MA/MS in Sustainable Energy Technology

Twente's Sustainable Energy Technology master's responds to rising global energy demand and the decline of fossil fuels by training engineers who can both design and implement sustainable energy solutions. The programme combines technological content with socio-economic aspects of the energy sector, examining how energy gets produced, moved, and kept in storage, and how separate technologies can be linked together effectively within a wider system. Alongside the technical core, students build knowledge of energy markets, entrepreneurship, business models, and management, situating engineering decisions within the commercial and regulatory context energy systems actually operate in. The intended outcome is graduates able to apply sustainable energy solutions within both existing energy networks and the networks still being built, combining technical design skills with an understanding of the market and management questions that shape how those solutions get adopted.
