Accounting and Control is offered as a full-time, one-year programme or a part-time, two-year programme, covering the financial information needed to run an organisation and the information flow managers need to make business decisions. Control is a central element, with students learning to use monitoring and reporting so that organisations remain governable and perform as intended, within systems that businesses, government bodies and non-profit organisations alike depend on for management, control, informing external investors and accountability, operating across complex institutional and market settings. The programme prepares graduates for roles as preparers, users or auditors of accounting information, examining the technical aspects of accounting alongside its institutional setting, developments in information technology, and relevant academic research at an advanced academic level.
