— it helps other students.
The bachelor in design combines practical design work with theory and method, and students solve design projects with real clients as well as fictional briefs. It teaches exploratory, process-based working, design principles and techniques, and the use of design history to contextualise one's own work. Students choose between two directions: design, strategy and society, which covers service design and strategy, or graphic design, which covers visual solutions across media. Projects are solved individually and in teams, and the programme is 180 credits, taught on campus in Oslo. It is a merger of two earlier Kristiania bachelors.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: General higher education entrance qualification (generell studiekompetanse), or the same qualification after vocational training and education under the 23/5 rule, or realkompetanse. Applicants choose a direction before the first year.
