BA/BS in Bachelorstudium i bioingeniørfag

This bachelor programme in biomedical laboratory science prepares students to analyse biological material and ensure quality in samples used for diagnosis, monitoring disease and assessing treatment. The programme covers laboratory medicine, analytical methods, blood bank work and quality assurance, and uses advanced laboratory equipment and technological systems. The full-time programme runs over three years, with daytime teaching in Fredrikstad. About one third of the course is practice, including external placements at medical laboratories and blood banks. Students must provide a police certificate and complete medical testing. The programme gives grounds for authorisation as a biomedical laboratory scientist.
