The half-year science course is for applicants with general study competence who need more mathematics (R1/R2) or physics (FY1) before applying to engineering or science programmes. It runs for one semester with 50 places, and it can also be taken part-time over two semesters. Completing it opens access to a range of UiS programmes. The course gives access to three-year bachelor's programmes in engineering, five-year engineering master's programmes and several science programmes, as well as maritime college education.
