The two-year master's in history and history culture explores how past narratives gain meaning, identity and power today. The full-time programme runs over two years, and part-time study can be requested after admission. It has a 75-credit common part of six 10-credit courses and one 15-credit course, plus a 45-credit master's thesis on a self-chosen topic. Students study historical thinking across periods from the Middle Ages to today, analyse sources and representations of the past, and link their work to questions of power, ideology, identity, climate and memory politics. Research groups and close supervision support the thesis.
