Cert in Andrespråkspedagogikk

Andrespråkspedagogikk is a 30-credit further-education programme for primary school teachers who work with pupils who have Norwegian as a second language and a relatively short time in Norwegian schooling. It covers bilingualism, interlanguage development and multicultural teaching, with emphasis on reading and writing instruction for minority-language pupils, spoken Norwegian and text genres. Literature teaching and literary conversation in Norwegian as a second language are also included. The programme consists of two 15-credit courses, an introductory course and an in-depth course, and it is taken part-time. Teaching is blended and aimed at teachers who already hold a teacher qualification, giving them ways to adapt teaching to individual learning needs.
