Diploma in Civil Engineering

The civil engineering diploma at A'Sharqiyah University teaches the technology and tools that support professional engineering work in the design and construction of structures, transport systems, buildings, roads, water supply and wastewater plants. It is aimed at meeting the construction industry's need for technicians, and trains students for roles that support professional engineers. The programme combines engineering, scientific and technical principles with laboratory work, site visits and industry practice, concentrating on applying engineering principles to real civil-engineering problems. The study plan is grouped into university-wide, college and major courses, and the university publishes a study plan and course descriptions for the diploma. Full-time students can complete the diploma in five semesters, or about two and a half years, and part-time or evening study is available.
