MSc Records and Information Management

The MSc in Records and Information Management at Middle East College is a postgraduate programme for people who work with documents, archives and information collections. It responds to the way digital technology has drawn records management closer to information science, and it concentrates on specialist knowledge in documentation, supported by current teaching methods and research activity. Students can study full-time over one year or part-time over two years. Timetables can be arranged on weekdays or on weekend days, subject to a minimum cohort size, and delivery is split evenly between online and on-campus study. The programme is taught in Arabic. Graduates are prepared for leadership roles in the document and information departments of public and private bodies. Relevant settings include libraries, archives, publishers, heritage organisations and information centres, where they are expected to plan how modern technologies are used to manage records and information.
