BS - Interior Design

Taught in English at the Scientific College of Design, this Interior Design programme leads to a Bachelor of Science and runs for four years. It teaches students to conceive interior space and shape environments that support the wellbeing of the people using them, bringing together aesthetic and cultural concerns with functional and technical ones. Students learn to develop design solutions for homes, commercial and industrial buildings and offices, responding to the needs of the people who use them. The mission statement links design knowledge and skills to exploring how interior space is designed and to creating functional spaces. The Oman National Qualifications Framework places this qualification at Level 8, and the college describes it as the first interior design programme in Oman to appear there. The college is institutionally accredited by OAAAQA and overseen by MoHERI, and the degree has a NASAD substantial-equivalency statement and a quality assurance certificate from a commission in Jordan.
