BA/BS in Visual Communication

Taught in English at the Scientific College of Design, this Visual Communication programme leads to a Bachelor of Science and runs for four years. It is aimed at students who want a focused study of visual communication design strategies and of media-based design solutions. Theory courses and practical studios are combined to build creative, artistic and intellectual skills. Students build analytical and technical skills together with formal and sensory awareness, and they learn how designs are structured, which materials are used and which techniques apply. They examine theoretical and historical views of design and strengthen their drawing and conceptual thinking through illustration, typography and layout projects. The programme also shows how different visual media express content, messages and information. The college is institutionally accredited by OAAAQA and overseen by MoHERI, and the programme holds a quality assurance certificate from a commission in Jordan.
