BA/BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering

Electrical and Computer Engineering at Sohar University gives students a blend of specialist knowledge and versatile skills for professional engineering practice. It is taught in English on a full-time basis, with a two-year diploma route and a four-year bachelor's degree of 133 credit hours. The programme is practical in character. Students take part in design, analysis, optimisation and process control, and they are prepared to guide others in electrical and computer-related industries, consultancies, government agencies, universities and private enterprises. Hands-on elements, visits to factories and training tie theory to real applications, with core study in embedded systems, control and instrumentation, computer engineering, and electrical and electronic systems. Bachelor's graduates can specialise in electrical, computer, instrumentation or electronics and communications engineering, or research, while diploma graduates can work as technicians.
