Master of Theological Studies

The Master of Theological Studies is a degree at Trinity Theological College that was introduced in 2005 for Christians who want serious theological training without planning a career in full-time ministry. Graduates typically serve as lay leaders in congregations or seek to live out their faith in the workplace. Applicants may come from any academic background, provided they hold a first degree from a recognised university. The course of study covers the principal theological disciplines and leaves room for students to follow particular interests. A full-time load takes two years, while Singapore residents may spread the work over as many as six years. To graduate, students must finish the core courses along with the community requirements, accumulate no fewer than 64 credit hours and attain an average GPA of at least 2.3. A student who later feels called to full-time ministry may apply to transfer into the Master of Divinity.
