Overview
This master's programme addresses present-day environmental challenges and the development of sustainable, nature-based solutions. It joins natural science with environmental technology, legislation, economics and spatial management, and it gives particular weight to sustainability, protecting the environment and applying ecoremediation to concrete problems. It takes two years in four semesters and carries 120 ECTS credits.
Students learn how ecosystems function, how they can be protected, and how natural processes can restore and improve the environment. Required and optional courses, training in research methods and independent research lead into a master's thesis where the student investigates a selected professional or research topic in detail.
The programme is part-time, with attendance in Maribor or from a distance, and lectures are recorded for flexibility. Lectures start in October, and graduates are awarded the master's title in Ecoremediation and Sustainable Development.
