Agricultural Economics is a two-year master's programme offered by the University of Maribor's Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Completing its 120 ECTS credits earns the Master of Science degree.
The programme gives students the grounding, experience and core economic principles needed to take part in activities tied to farming and healthy food production, and to contribute to the development of the field. It leans towards independent research: graduates learn to apply standard scientific methods and procedures to practical problems in agro-economic analysis and to link knowledge from several disciplines.
Graduates can hold important posts in the agricultural sector and related fields, carry out research, teach, work in agricultural supervision, manage production and cooperate with public administration. Doctoral study at home or abroad is open to them.
