BA/BS in Animal Production and Health Technology

Animal Production and Health Technology (APHT) trains technicians to apply scientific knowledge within the livestock sector, translating it into practical competencies in animal health, production, and veterinary public health. The programme focuses on management and health practices for major production animals, alongside the economics of improving their productivity through a range of management factors. Coursework spans housing, animal health care, nutrition, and welfare as the core factors students learn to balance. The curriculum was developed together with industry partners so that it matches the needs of the livestock sector directly, and it includes an industrial internship component that gives students hands-on exposure to the field before graduation.
