Overview

The associate programme trains health technicians for dialysis units, who monitor and treat patients in haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. Students attend basic medical sciences and professional theory courses and take clinical practice in dialysis units. Technicians connect and operate dialysis machines, maintain them, and inform patients and relatives about treatment and diet. The programme covers the full dialysis process, from admitting a patient to the machine to ending the procedure. Graduates receive an associate degree.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Central YKS placement with the TYT score type. The programme offers 43 places; the lowest placement score in the 2026 guide was 335.5 (success rank 511,136). Foreign-national applicants are admitted under Senate criteria.

Application Details

Application Process: Turkish applicants list the programme among their choices (tercih) in ÖSYM's central placement after the YKS results each July; international applicants apply directly to the university's international student office under the YÖS quota, usually between May and August.
