Overview

The six-year integrated medicine programme combines basic medical sciences in its first three years with clinical training in the fourth and fifth years, and a sixth clinical year. Its aim is to train physicians who view the person as a whole, apply science and technology to current health problems and act ethically in health care. The programme started in 2017 and is taught in Turkish. Graduates earn the title Tıp Doktoru and may take the national specialty exam, after which they receive the title Uzman Hekim. Graduates may also apply to PhD programmes in related fields.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Placement through the SAY score type of the YKS exam with ÖSYM central placement. 59 places; lowest placement score 504.8 (success rank 16,299). Applicants need a success rank of 50,000 or better in SAY. Programme taught in Turkish. Also offered as 50% discount and full scholarship (Burslu) variants.

Application Details

Application Process: Turkish applicants list the programme among their choices (tercih) in ÖSYM's central placement after the YKS results each July; international applicants apply directly to the university's international student office under the YÖS quota, usually between May and August.
