Overview

The Electrical and Electronics Engineering bachelor's programme at Siirt's Faculty of Engineering runs for four years in Turkish. It was established in 2013 and is organised into four branches: circuits and systems, electronics, telecommunications, and electrical installations and machines. The programme also offers graduate study in these areas. Its aim is to give students the knowledge needed for engineering, combining theory with practice to analyse and synthesise systems. Graduates may work in public and private sector engineering roles, pursue postgraduate study, or take up entrepreneurial and managerial positions. They receive the title Elektrik-Elektronik Mühendisi.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Admission through the national YKS exam with ÖSYM central placement, using the SAY score type. The 2026 guide lists 10 places and a lowest placement score of 316.9 (success rank 264,021). The programme requires a minimum success rank of 300,000 in the SAY score type.

Application Details

Application Process: Turkish applicants list the programme among their choices (tercih) in ÖSYM's central placement after the YKS results each July; international applicants apply directly to the university's international student office under the YÖS quota, usually between May and August.
