Adelphi's MS in Computer Science totals 30 credits and gives students a broad grounding in the discipline before they commit to one of two tracks, cybersecurity or software engineering. Faculty teach in small classrooms on the Garden City campus, and the same degree is available online for people who need schedule flexibility. The curriculum covers advanced topics such as cyber threat analysis. Graduates look toward jobs as security specialists and consultants, cybersecurity architects and engineers, game developers and software developers. Students can join clubs run by peers, seek internships and apply for work on campus. The program has a STEM designation, so eligible international students may extend OPT to 36 months. Merit scholarships reduce the cost of a master's degree, and graduates of Farmingdale are guaranteed a place in certain Adelphi master's programs through a pathway agreement.
