BA/BS in Theological and Ministerial Studies

Religion and theology students examine religious belief and the ideas behind it in pursuit of a fuller understanding of God. The program supports those headed for ministry or for deeper study, and many students add a second major. Opportunities include international study tours, student missionary service and a ministerial student association with chances to preach and do outreach. Most theology students go on to seminary or ministry, and the university houses an Adventist theological seminary. Careers listed for graduates include missionary and evangelist. The program stresses preaching practice, outreach locally and abroad, and travel to places such as Israel, Turkey, Egypt and Honduras. Students interested in teaching can combine it with a secondary education emphasis. Prospective students can apply online or request information.
