BA/BS in Religious Education

Discipleship Ministry at Lee University shows students how to plan and run church programs that grow fellowship and scriptural understanding. The major stresses a small-group approach and the Great Commission. A vocational track encourages minors in other disciplines to prepare for varied callings. Graduates serve as discipleship coordinators, associate pastors, family ministry pastors, educators and counselors. Students take part in Weekend Sunday Shadowing, global ministry trips and a summer inner-city immersion experience. The emphasis on small groups reflects a view that spiritual growth happens best in relationship, and students practice leading such groups. Lee University is a Christian institution in Cleveland, Tennessee, and its programs are taught with attention to bringing faith into learning. Prospective students should consult the program page and the admissions office for current requirements, costs and start dates.
