This undergraduate accounting major sits within the business college and requires 123 credit hours. It follows a four-year schedule that begins with general education and shared business courses before narrowing to accounting itself.
The first two years cover composition, history, science, literature, public speaking, and calculus, along with financial and managerial accounting, economics, analytics, supply chain, and business law. Students also take a short professional development course in each year of study.
Junior and senior terms concentrate on intermediate accounting, accounting information systems, auditing and assurance, income tax, cost accounting, and accounting analytics. These are joined by finance, marketing, management, and a closing strategy course. Students choose accounting electives plus business electives, and one elective must come from outside accounting. A zero-credit course connected to the university's creed completes the final semester.
