BA/BS in Design and Applied Arts

The School of Design in the College of Fine Arts trains students to plan and shape communications, products and environments with people at the center. The Bachelor of Design emphasizes learning by doing, balancing theory and practice while helping students find a personal voice. Studio courses let students specialize in a communications, products or environments track. A design minor is available for students in other majors, and intercollege programs combine design with computer science, humanities or science. Prospective students can use the program page to find contact details for the department, a link to start an application and information on curriculum and graduate outcomes. Questions about admission can be sent to the university admission office. The page also highlights what recent graduates did after finishing, including employment and further study.
