Overview
Following a four-year, full-time plan, this on-campus biology major lists between 63 and 71 credit hours and concentrates on biomedical, cellular and molecular biology.
The sequence opens with the fundamental units common to every organism, then advances to interactions at the molecular scale, sophisticated laboratory methods and research projects. The aim is to test theoretical knowledge through hands-on work.
Graduates are prepared for medical school or graduate school and for entrance exams like the DAT, GRE or MCAT. Others move into research, laboratory or health roles at universities, pharmaceutical or industrial firms, and government science agencies.
Instruction is based at the Main Campus. Listed start terms are Fall 2026 on August 31 and Spring 2027 on January 11. Fall applications are rolling, with a December 1 scholarship priority date.
