Program details

Overview

Chaffey College offers Anthropology as an associate of arts for transfer. The discipline is the study of people, and students approach it through four subfields: archaeology, biology, linguistics and culture. Coursework addresses both biological and cultural variety among human groups. The degree can serve as preparation for work in many social and biological science fields, and it supports continued study at a four-year university. A program map shows recommended courses. Three anthropology professors teach in the program, and a shared coordinator handles faculty questions for anthropology and neighboring social science departments.
