Overview

Mechatronics blends mechanical equipment with electronics and computer control, and the field is expanding. Technicians diagnose, maintain and repair machinery run by electrical and computer-based systems found across manufacturing and industry. Clark teaches this subject with practical lab sessions on up-to-date, industry-standard equipment. Beyond technical skills, the program aims to build critical thinking, teamwork and clear communication with customers inside and outside the company. Several certificate and degree options sit within the program. Students may leave for work and return later, or progress straight through. This applied technology associate is the Mechanical and Instrumentation Automation award.
