This program lets students design their own major or minor by combining existing courses from several academic areas, working with a faculty advisor from one of the chosen areas. A major needs between thirty-three and forty semester hours, with half the courses coming from one program and no more than four programs involved. Half of the hours must be upper-level, and a senior capstone or seminar is required. A minor requires between twenty-one and thirty semester hours drawn from at most three programs. Sample combinations include psychology paired with marketing. The structure rewards students with clear goals who can explain how their chosen courses fit together. Advisors help applicants shape a plan and submit it for approval, and the result is a degree tailored to career or graduate study aims.
