— it helps other students.
This doctoral program in biomedical engineering is offered jointly by Emory University and the Georgia Institute of Technology through the Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering. Students study full time and carry out research where engineering, biology and medicine meet.
The department describes a flexible curriculum that students can shape around their own research focus and career goals. Faculty mentors work in areas such as artificial intelligence, imaging, regenerative medicine and neuroengineering, and students gain clinical and translational experience alongside them.
Graduates are prepared for careers in academia, industry or entrepreneurship. Applicants can reach graduate admissions at either partner institution, and an M.D./Ph.D. option in the same field is also listed on the page for students who want to combine medical and engineering training.
