BA/BS in Religious Music and Worship

The worship leadership track within the Bachelor of Science in Music combines musical skill with a calling to lead worship. Students gain foundations in music theory, music philosophy, methods of leading worship and the administration of church music. Talented instructors give students room to compose, perform and lead a music ministry at a local church. The major prepares graduates for roles such as worship leader or choir director, and a minor is available for students who want to use music in ministry alongside another field. Fine arts scholarships are available to eligible students. Prospective students can ask the admissions team for details about enrollment, request information through the university website, or apply online. Evangel University is a Christian institution, so the program is taught within a faith-centered community where learning and personal calling are expected to inform one another.
