BA/BS in Insurance

Students in Risk Management and Insurance concentrate on insurance topics. The industry offers interesting careers outside sales and provides security for individuals, groups and businesses, with the program stressing corporate coverage and related offerings. The degree serves the academic needs of working insurance and risk management professionals. Students learn how uncertainty and risk affect companies and society, and the study of risk analysis and risk treatment sits within a wide business management curriculum. Early coursework includes general education, Exploring the Human Experience and prerequisite classes. The major uses specialized admission, and the advising office of the Herbert Wertheim College of Business can assist applicants. Teaching is face to face on the main campus in Tallahassee only, and students cannot earn the degree online or by distance learning.
