MA/MS in Information Science/Studies

The Master of Science in Information prepares students to work where human needs meet information systems. The field covers gathering, storing, arranging, and distributing information with current technology, and it aims to fit systems to people. The degree is accredited by the American Library Association, and the university holds regional accreditation. Graduates find work across varied sectors involved in designing, implementing, and using online information systems. The program is not limited access and is run by the School of Information at the Tallahassee campus. Florida State University is located in Tallahassee, and the program page lists named contacts and advising offices who can answer questions about admission, course planning, and degree requirements before a student applies. Because requirements and details can change, prospective students should confirm current information with the department or advising office, and should review the full program page for course lists and further guidance.
