Students in this on-campus master's concentration study the places where food meets biology, chemistry, and technology. The advanced core ties nutrition science to biochemistry and research, then connects that foundation to everyday work in nutrition and dietetics.
The track was built for several kinds of applicants. Some are already registered dietitians. Others hold a current verification statement showing they finished the didactic dietetics requirements. A third group wants to complete those academic requirements so they can pursue registration as a dietitian.
Alongside the science, students learn to use software tools in food and nutrition work. Media technology also helps them produce educational programs and materials, which gives the degree a practical communication side.
Advising before applying is available and encouraged for prospective graduate students, with appointments offered on set evenings by video or phone. Admission begins with the online graduate application.
