Program details

Overview

Georgia Tech's bachelor's degree in computer engineering centers on the hardware and systems side of computing. The curriculum stresses digital design, computer architecture, networking and internetworking, and the applications that run on such systems. Students therefore study both how computing machines are built and how they connect and are used. This mix prepares graduates for roles that straddle electronics and software, as well as for graduate study in related areas. The program is administered within the electrical and computer engineering school, and it follows an engineering-style course sequence. Prospective students should consult the catalog for the full list of requirements and available electives, and may contact the school for advice on planning the degree around a preferred area of emphasis.
