The Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is offered through the R.B. Annis School of Engineering. It trains students to design, build and test electrical systems, and it points toward work in embedded systems, power, defense, communications and image processing. Teamwork and communication skills are developed from the first year. Project-based learning and client-focused work in small classes gives students practical experience that can lead to internships and job offers. The DesignSpine curriculum places students on industry projects that follow a client's product from concept to market, and students can join national competitions through coursework and clubs. Core courses cover electrical circuits, signals and systems, digital systems, microprocessors and programming, with applications in energy, digital technology, communications and robotics. General education and foundational science courses round out the degree, and a curriculum guide lists the full set of requirements.
