AA/AS in Computer Science

This degree is a transfer pathway for students aiming at computer science or a related major at a Washington college or university. It is structured so that a student satisfies the Direct Transfer Agreement while also completing major preparation. Admission to computer science programs is competitive, so the pathway steers students toward the courses that receiving schools expect. It is not designed to satisfy a four-year school's general education rules. Instead it aims to place students at junior standing in both credits and subject preparation. Courses come from an approved list and must be numbered 100 or higher, with a cap on pass/no-credit grades. A cumulative GPA of 2.0 is required, along with a minimum number of credits earned at Green River. Some programs may expect a higher GPA overall or in particular courses.
