AA/AS in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services, Other

Information Technology introduces students to computer systems, networking and troubleshooting. The curriculum teaches problem solving, the management of information systems and ways to meet an organization's technology needs. Students choose from several concentrations and learn to judge current processes and offer useful input within a team that works with technology. The degree prepares graduates for jobs such as help-desk support, network technician duties or systems analysis, and it can also lead into university study. The college posts a sample course sequence published for the current catalog cycle for this program. It shows one route through the requirements, but it is only a reference and not an official education plan. Students who want an individualized plan, and help choosing among the courses, should make an appointment with a Lemoore College counselor.
