Overview

This master's degree supplies the advanced knowledge and the extra credit hours required to become a Certified Public Accountant, both in Illinois and nationally. Students can broaden their exposure to accounting or to business information systems, and the degree supports advancement in all accounting careers. The program carries a STEM designation. That can open grant-funded opportunities and gives international students a longer period of optional practical training. Applicants need a four-year degree from an accredited institution and unofficial transcripts from any other schools attended.
